I am a priest of the Diocese of La Crosse, WI. I grew up on a dairy farm 10 miles north of La Crosse - the eleventh of twelve children of Robert & Irene Schaller.  I served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps following high school, and then attended college seminary in Milwaukee, and theology at Catholic University of America in D.C. & Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, OH. I was ordained a priest by Bishop John J. Paul at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral in La Crosse on May 23, 1987. After having served 5 years in Wausau, I then served 3 years in the U.S. Navy as a chaplain, stationed in Norfolk, VA. Subsequently I have served as pastor in Marshfield, Stevens Point, Holmen, La Crosse, Wausa, and currently in Wisconsin  Rapids.
